The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy in the Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions to begin in Fall 2026. This position is responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses.  Application review will begin immediately and continue until the position has been filled.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Occupational therapy; a doctoral degree in Occupational therapy or related field that is accredited by a USDE-recognized institution is preferred
  • two years of clinical experience in the field of occupational therapy is required
  • two years of teaching experience in an accredited OT program at the postsecondary level is preferred
  • current occupational therapist credentialed by NBCOT required
  • currently licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Alabama is required

Official transcripts must be sent directly to HR from the issuing school via email or postal mail to be considered official. Transcripts with a designation of “Issued to Student”, or with the student name listed as the recipient will not be considered official. Official transcripts will be required of the successful candidate prior to the start date of the appointment, but unofficial copies will be accepted for the application process.
